Classes NeoTango
This year, we are pleased to offer to our guests 4 hours of (neo)tango classes!

Dancing tango together, since 1999, we came to believe that rules are to be broken, as long as you obey the natural way of operation of the body. Our dance, music, architecture and photography studies taught us that ornamentation masks emptiness, while the lack of it improves minds and souls. So, we try to serve Mies van der Rohe ‘s great words: ‘’L’ art dificille d’ être simple’’ and dare to add “et sincère’’.
Therefore, our teaching focuses in energies, communication, improvisation and musicality.

NeoTango is all about musicality, changes of accent and changes in dynamics.
NeoTango dancers are faced with a big challenge. The music that we choose for our dancing comes from a vast variety of musical genres, ranging from “easy” mainstream music to complex musical forms like, for example, flamenco. We dance to a much broader speed spectrum than dancers of traditional tango and are faced with many more rhythmical patterns that we have to adapt to.
Through the classes I have been teaching, I have been studying for years the adaptation of traditional tango steps to a series of musical forms and I have come to the conclusion that it all comes down to the big three:
– Accents –
– Dynamics and the use of staccato and legato –
– Rhythmical transformation –
I will be very happy, to share with you the knowledge that I have acquired and show you how dancing to practically every kind of music can be challenging but at the end, simple.
